Massage is an ancient practice for well being and good heath. The way these workshops are conducted is to teach you to offer a safe space for a partner to deeply relax and let go of whatever tension they are holding.

Would you like to enter deeper this world of deep, listening and healing touch?

What you will learn in these massage workshops:

• Each massage workshop will give you an insight into topic-specific anatomy, physiology and contraindications to lay the foundation for a healing massage and create a safe space.

• You will learn how to position your body to maintain your energy levels, as well as how to practice deep listening. You will learn how to recreate this at home.

• In a small group of max 6-12 people, instructions in German / English.

• 3-hour workshop, plus 30 min for arrival and exchange.

ANATOMY / PHYSIOLOGY

• Basic anatomy of the face, neck and head

• Basics related cardiovascular, lymph muscular and skeletal systems

• Integrating breath into a massage

• Integrating deep listening and energy work

• Contraindications.

1. Massage techniques without oil

2. Massage techniques with oil

THE ROLE OF THE GIVER

1. Self-care in the role as giver of massage

2. Ways of applying your body weight

3. Integrating breath and bodyweight to listen to flow of energy and blocks

4. Discovering the dance of touch.

1. Handout with a massage sequence to practice at home

2. Self-confidence to touch

3. The ability to apply the right amount of pressure in massage according to the individual.

FACILITATOR AND TEACHER

Marianne Schmidt, best known as Mary, brings 13 years of professional massage and bodywork and an extensive variety of trainings as well as a special ability to listen through touch.

Wild and soft, Marianne embodies this seeming contradiction. As a nomad by birth, she speaks several languages and is a fun and sensual mix of temperament, passionate for life and an activist for making the life profoundly light, deep and pleasurable.

Her education is varies from Western medical to many alternative therapies and styles of massage.
