Embodying the Heart

featuring a Cacao Ceremony, Embodied Movement & Yoga Nidra with Mary Marianne

Hello Summer Love!

With sound and voice, somatic movement and conscious rest address matters of the heart chakra ie. love vs. rejection, social and self-acceptance, reaching out and taking in. Hereby assisting you in finding internal balance, the basis of all healthy love relationships.

What to expect in the workshop programme:

Cacao Ceremony (45-60 min)

A ritualistic Cacao Ceremony is an ideal moment to embark on an heart opening introspective journey. Raw cacao contains many essential vitamins and minerals that fight depression and reduce anxiety. It simultaneously boosts your mood and lowers your blood pressure.

During the ceremony, we create a sound bath using our voices and sound, set intentions, offer gratitude and gain clarity in aspects of love.

Embodied Movement (60 min)

In embodied movement, physical form and expression are given to an idea or feeling. Intuitive somatic dance and movement will release itself from a fusion of meditative and playful visualisations, dance, somatic research and breath work.

You will be guided to experience the bodies store of memories and emotions that are held in fascia, mind and movement patterns. Through researching embodied emotions with a curious mindset, you can offer the body new ways to experience sensations and free yourself from memorised patterns.

Embodied movement is a research in your own body and in playful interaction through the dynamic of the group.

Yoga Nidra (20-30min)

Yoga Nidra, also called "psychic sleep ", is a powerful relaxation and meditation technique derived from ancient Tantra that induces relaxation of body and mind.

This deeply relaxed and lucid dream state is the perfect ground for setting an intention. Take your time in choosing prior to the event. The words should be positively formulated, precise and clear so that they can penetrate the subconscious more easily.

Closing:

Tea, water and fruit will be provided during and at the end of the workshop.

What to bring:

- yourself, just as you are, no prior experience necessary

- comfy clothes in layers, something to move and sweat in, something to sleep and relax in

- a cozy shawl for the long savasana

- a bottle of water

- a simple snack/ fruit to share

Is this workshop for you?

No prior experience is necessary - just some general curiosity and openness to feel and move.

Coming from a large German family of seven, she was born in India and raised peripatetically. In 2004, Mari discovered yoga at the moment she needed it most, immediately noticing the transformational effects of a regular yoga practice. Not long after, she was invited to expand into teaching.

Mari's teaching style varies from free, loud and wild to controlled, quiet and introspective, with consistent attention to breath, healthy alignment and strong emotional values, emphasizing acceptance, softness and surrender as strengths.
